If you wish to make an enquiry about a Cosmetic Surgery Procedure, please contact out Cosmetic Surgery Co-ordinator on 0800 43 202 63 or email us on info@stacs.uk.net

What Happens if you call us?

Before an appointment is made for you our co-ordinator will confirm that an accredited surgeon from our group is able to provide the treatment that you desire.

Our advisor will make an appointment for you to see a reputable cosmetic surgeon from our group. Your surgeon will take a detailed medical history and will discuss with you your concerns about your appearance and the corrections that you desire.

Your Consultation

You will have a detailed explanation on the nature of the procedure, the postoperative care, and the expected post operative recovery time. You will be shown pictures to explain the procedure and will be given a leaflet with regard to your post operative management. You will have ample opportunity to ask any questions and request clarifications for any concerns.

It is only after you have agreed on a list of reasonable expectations with your surgeon that you should go ahead with making an appointment for surgery.

Following your consultation if you have any further questions or need clarification please do not hesitate to contact our Cosmetic Surgery Co-ordinator by telephone or email. In the normal course of events your surgeon will be happy to see you for a second consultation (at no extra charge) for a further discussion prior to booking your surgery.

Booking Surgery

Once you have decided to go ahead with surgery, please contact our Cosmetic Surgery Co-ordinator or the Consultants Secretary who will assist you in booking your operation and help you with details regarding admission.

Admission to Hospital

You will normally have received a pre-anaesthetic questionnaire a couple of weeks prior to surgery which you should return promptly. This is to ensure that the Consultant Anaesthetist who will care for you during surgery will have time to go through your responses. The Consultant Anaesthetist may request some tests before your operation or may arrange for you to be assessed in a pre- anaesthetic clinic prior to admission to hospital.

You would normally be admitted to hospital on the morning of your proposed surgery. Your surgeon will see you following admission and will ask you to sign a consent form for surgery. Your surgeon also will make marks on you before surgery, which act as a guide during your surgery. Please do not shower once your surgeon has marked you.

After Surgery

Following your surgery you will be reviewed by the specialist plastic surgery nurse or your consultant. You will be given instructions with regard to your dressings, ability to bathe or shower and medication before discharge. You will also be given a follow up appointment to see one of the specialist nurses for care of your wounds and to see your surgeon for a review.
